Certification vs Registration
OGC Certification
Certification demonstrates that a product or service has been tested and proven to align with OGC standards. Certified implementations are permitted to use the OGC Compliance Mark, signalling interoperability and quality to customers and partners. Certification is issued solely through OGC's official Compliance Program.
OGC Registration
Registration simply lists an implementation in the OGC registry. While it provides visibility, it does not involve formal testing or grant the right to use the OGC Compliance Mark. Registration is a lighter-weight option for implementations that are not yet ready for full certification.
