VistaBridge Overview

VistaBridge is the application layer for GeoServer. It connects to your existing GeoServer and transforms its published layers into interactive web GIS applications. Teams can view, query, and analyze geospatial data, create dashboards, generate map reports, and share map links through a web interface. Users can perform these supported tasks directly in a browser without requiring desktop GIS software.

VistaBridge connects to your existing GeoServer without replacing it or moving your data. Your GeoServer remains responsible for managing data, users, and security policies. Configured layers, layer groups, workspaces, users, and roles are available in VistaBridge according to the configured permissions.

  • Interactive Mapping

Multi-layer geospatial visualization, basemap switching, measurement, annotation, and coordinate locator tools.

  • Spatial Querying

Advanced multi-condition SQL attribute filters, geometric buffer queries, and spatial topological relationship engines.

  • Vector & Raster Analysis

OGC-compliant Web Processing Services (WPS) for boundary operations, buffers, centroids, crop coverage, and contour generation.

  • Analytical Dashboards

Drag-and-drop analytical widgets including Pie, Bar, Line, Scatter, Donut, Area charts, KPI metrics, and Data Tables.

  • Print & Export

High-resolution print templates, custom north arrows, scale bars, legends, element styling, and PDF/JPEG outputs.

  • GeoServer Integration & Access

Direct GeoServer layer, workspace, and store management with granular role-based authentication and security.

How VistaBridge Works

  1. Configure and Publish Geospatial Data — Configure and publish geospatial data in GeoServer as layers within workspaces. Manage layer groups and access permissions as required.
  2. Access Resources through VistaBridge — Log in to VistaBridge to access available maps and geospatial resources based on your permissions.
  3. Explore and Analyze Data — Create or open map workspaces, manage layers, perform attribute and spatial queries, and use available WPS analysis tools.
  4. Visualize and Share Results — Create dashboards, configure map widgets, print or export maps, and share map workspaces using shareable links. Access to shared maps depends on workspace settings and associated layer permissions.
